Morning Thought: Psalm 110 gives us a vision of God’s people like a mighty army. They are not begrudgingly conscripted, but instead are a free-will offering to the Lord. These soldiers are empowered by God’s mighty strength. They are majestic in holiness, arrayed in the King’s armour. These warriors are like a mist, arising from the dawn of a spiritual awakening, and providing nourishment like dew for the day’s growth. You are that army: an army of life, youthful vitality and mighty strength in God. You are that army, freely given to the Commander-in-Chief, majestic in holiness and armoured up. This is the day of God’s power and it’s time for us to arise. “The LORD will stretch forth Your strong scepter from Zion, saying, ‘Rule in the midst of Your enemies.’ Your people will volunteer freely in the day of Your power; In holy array, from the womb of the dawn, Your youth are to You as the dew” (Psalms 110:2-3, NASB).
