Discovering God's Glory One Day at a Time

Month: February, 2016

The Penetrating Lord

Morning Thought: If David could conquer the impenetrable stronghold of Zion, and Jesus could walk through closed doors, then the Lord can do the impossible in your heart and family. Only believe. “On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, ‘Peace be with you!'” ‭‭(John‬ ‭20:19‬, NIV‬‬)

Reclaiming the Heart

I’m so thankful for each one in our church serving and praying for one another. Without their love and devotion to the Lord there would be no message posted today or church on the park. Here’s today’s message. You can download both the audio and notes, as well as stream.

God’s Good Nature

Morning Thought: God’s nature toward you is good. He doesn’t want to cause you pain. Like a good doctor, his aim is to help you rather than hurt you. The devil wants to destroy you, but your Father wants you to know his abundant life. “For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in lovingkindness to all who call upon You” (Ps 86:5,‬ ‭NASB‬‬).

Keep Getting Up

Morning Thought: When you learn to walk you often trip and fall. But as you keep getting up, your legs get stronger. Remember, the Father is teaching you how to walk out his Word. Keep getting up, by his grace, and you’ll get stronger. “For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD gives grace and glory; No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly” (‭‭Psalms‬ ‭84:11‬ ‭NASB‬‬).

The Simple Key to Victory

Morning Thought: Listen to God. Listening to God is the simple key to victory. It’s more powerful than a hundred hours of counselling, a thousand pages of theology and an enthusiastic conference of ten thousand. May your Father give you ears to hear and feet to walk out his Word. “Oh that My people would listen to Me, That Israel would walk in My ways! I would quickly subdue their enemies And turn My hand against their adversaries” (‭‭Ps 81:13-14,‬ ‭NASB‬‬).

The Father Doesn’t Raise Spoiled Children

It was so beautiful to see people respond to the Lord and one man propose to his partner in the presence of God. Thank you Jesus for the outpouring of your Spirit. Here’s the message I shared today. Enjoy and feel free to share.

The Grand Design

Morning Thought: God’s miracles have a greater purpose than making your life easier. When God parted the flooded Jordan it was to fulfil his promise to his people. Get into God’s grander plan and you’ll find miracles like manna falling from heaven. Your Father wants to do miracles for and through you so “that all the peoples of the earth may know that the hand of the LORD is mighty, so that you may fear the LORD your God forever” ‭‭(Joshua‬ ‭4:24,‬ NASB‬‬).
