Discovering God's Glory One Day at a Time

Month: November, 2015

I Will Deliver You

Today’s message was birthed out of my experience in the hospital last week as well as many other difficult times. If you are sick or in a tough battle, I think this message will bless you. I felt it’s urgency deep in my spirit. And though, I’ve been quite weak all week and many people would be away on a retreat at our church, I knew I needed to share it. Feel free to share. You can find the notes on the link too. http://goo.gl/jeP3V9

Your Achilles’ Heel

Morning Thought: Have you heard of ‘Achilles’ heel’? In Greek Mythology, Achilles was an outstanding warrior, unable to be defeated. Paris wasn’t a great warrior, but he was good with a bow and arrow, and discovered Achilles only weak spot, his heel. Consequently, Paris shot Achilles in the place of his vulnerability, bringing him to his death. The enemy also knows your Achilles’ heel. It may be some girl or guy, a car, a certain job offer, a doctor’s report or promise of fame. Whatever it may be, today, “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak” (Mark‬ ‭14:38‬, ‭NIV‬‬).

On The Edge of Glory

Morning Thought: The believer’s life is always looking forward. God has more for you, more than you can ask or imagine. He is still writing his story within you and every half-written sentence will be crowned with his glory. Your Author will not stop until he leads you to triumphant victory, filling every page of your life with the sweet aroma of Christ. “That’s why we have this Scripture text: No one’s ever seen or heard anything like this, Never so much as imagined anything quite like it—What God has arranged for those who love him. But you’ve seen and heard it because God by his Spirit has brought it all out into the open before you” (1 Cor. 2:9-10a, Message).

Every Inch

Morning Thought: I’ve learned the devil fights against you for every inch of ground you take back from him. But God is greater. He trains us to fight and always leads us in victory through Jesus Christ. What is your battle? The Lord of hosts will empower you to overcome. “Blessed be the LORD, my rock, Who trains my hands for war, And my fingers for battle” (Ps‬ ‭144:1‬, NASB‬‬).

Any Weapons on You?

Morning Thought: If you want God to lead you, let him first search you. You can’t bring hidden weapons and explosives to where he wants to take you. Let him strip you of every self-destructing sin and every thought of strife. Then, free from every weight, your Father can lead you to your destiny. “Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me and know my anxious thoughts; And see if there be any hurtful way in me, And lead me in the everlasting way” (Ps ‭139:23-24‬, ‭NASB‬‬).

Remove the Stone

Morning Thought: Faith connects the glory of heaven with the gravity of earth. Through faith you remove the inner stone of sin and death that stands in the way of you walking in resurrection life. Today, rise by fearlessly believing. Respond to Jesus’ words with childlike faith. And reach beyond yourself through trusting the King of kings and Lord of lords. “Jesus said, ‘Remove the stone.’ Martha, the sister of the deceased, said to Him, “Lord, by this time there will be a stench, for he has been dead four days.” Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?” (John‬ ‭11:39-40‬, NASB‬‬).

Who’s Writing Your Story?

Beautiful testimonies today of what the Holy Spirit is doing in people’s lives. With all that God is doing, I think we will start calling church, ‘Revival in the Park’ :-). Here’s today’s message: Who’s Writing Your Story. It’s all about how God always leads us into victory no matter what you experience. Stream or download audio and notes.
