Discovering God's Glory One Day at a Time

High-Octane Love

Morning Thought: It’s love that fuels God’s mission. But not Hollywood’s version of love. That kind of love is like cheap petroleum, ruining a car’s engine. The real fuel is the high-octane love of Jesus displayed in his life, death and resurrection. It’s this love that sets you on fire and keeps you burning till the end. Make sure you’re continually filling up your life with his love. “Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered…” (1 Cor. 13:4-5, NASB).

God on a Mission (Audio Message)

I’m convinced that the church is a mess because we don’t embrace God’s message and his messengers. But if we do receive them they will equip us for God’s mission. Let’s remember who the real enemy is and be empowered by the Spirit to be a light in the darkness. Here’s the message I shared today. Feel free to share. https://goo.gl/Em19gX

Lose Sight, Lose the Fight

Morning Thought: The Old Testament believers teach you many things and reflect Jesus in a multitude of ways. But, they all fall short. Some lie, cheat, steal and commit adultery. Their purpose was to lead you to Jesus, who alone can save and show you the way. While we value our fathers in the faith, Jesus is our standard. After Hebrews 11 comes Hebrews 12. Lose sight and you’ll lose the fight. “Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us…let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God” (‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭12:1-2,‬ ‭NASB‬‬).

When a Man Loves a Woman (Video)

Is your love for the Lord growing cold? This short video should help. Feel free to share.

Back to the Beginning

Morning Thought: Do you know the way a young man acts when he wants to win a young woman’s heart? He buys flowers, opens the door for her and gives her his jacket when she’s cold. Everyday he goes out of his way to make her feel special. And then he wins her and they get married. Soon there’s no long talks, flowers or special treat. This can happen with our relationship with God. Don’t become familiar with Jesus and let your love grow cold. Do the things you did at first. “But I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Therefore remember from where you have fallen, and repent and do the deeds you did at first” ‭‭(Rev. 2:4-5‬a, NASB‬‬).

Torches in the Night

Morning Thought: Complaining about how dark it is doesn’t actually get rid of the problem. There’s only one way to remove darkness: be a light. Wherever there’s light, darkness flees. Many of us are waiting on God to move. Actually, the Father is waiting on you to arise and shine like a torch in the night. Let John the Baptist’s life inspire you: “He was the lamp that was burning and was shining and you were willing to rejoice for a while in his light” (‭‭John‬ ‭5:35‬, NASB‬‬).

Fire in the Night (Audio Message)

Another precious day in God’s house. Everyday we get to spend with God and his people is a joy beyond words. Here’s the message I shared. Feel free to share. I kept on the audio the words shared by the congregation at the end of the message too. https://goo.gl/NQ9td2
