The Paradox of Freedom

Morning Thought: The Bible is full of paradoxes, seeming contradictions that can only be understood by God’s Spirit. The wise and learned stumble over these stones, but children of God find their foundation in them. For example, you have been set free by Jesus Christ, but that freedom is for the purpose of serving one another. “I thought freedom was people serving me?” No! Freedom is serving others in love. How can you serve today? How can you take the burden of stress off another? “You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love” (‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:13,‬ ‭NIV‬‬).

Born and raised on Long Island, New York, I migrated to Australia in 1999. That’s when I married my beautiful wife, Anna, and we planted our church and Bible School. We’re now the proud parents of four children, ranging in age from eight to twenty-one. We’re still pastoring the same beautiful church, Church on the Park, in the the heart of Brisbane, Australia (https://www.brisbanefire.com). We also continue to teach our awesome students at Holy Fire Ministry Training School (https://www.holyfireschool.com). I love to write and encourage God's people. And something that many people don't know, I'm a DJ as well (aka DJ SOL Vibes).
