Prayer is Powerful, but…

Morning Thought: Prayer is powerful, but only if you have a right relationship with God. If you treat someone rudely and then ask them for a favour, they’ll probably tell you to get lost. In the same way, you can’t neglect your heavenly Father and then expect him to hear your prayers. Ask God to forgive and change you. Go further and humble yourself to your brothers and sisters. Then you will pray with power. “Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much” ‭‭(James‬ ‭5:16‬ ‭NASB‬‬).

I was born and raised in Long Island, New York. In 1999 I migrated to Australia, married my beautiful wife, Anna, and we planted a church and Bible School. We are now the proud parents of four children ranging in age from five to eighteen. We are still pastoring the same beautiful church, Church on the Park, in the the heart of Brisbane, Australia (www.brisbanefire.com). We also continue to teach our awesome students at Holy Fire Ministry Training School (www.holyfireschool.com). I love to write and encourage God's people. And something that many people don't know, I'm a DJ as well (aka DJ SOL Vibes).
