Morning Thought: Father knows best. Today marks 23 years of ministering in Australia. I still remember the joy I felt arriving on 1 June 1999. At first, I thought I’d only be here for five years, and then Anna and I would move on. But our Heavenly Father had other plans. We’re not meant to have everything figured out. Instead, we’re called to maintain an intimate relationship with Jesus and follow him. Our initial joy was soon bombarded by sorrow. Yet, we found that the Father’s joy is like a castle that doesn’t crumble. Today, I want to thank everyone who has loved, believed in and supported us through the years. “The Lord had said to Abram, ‘Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.’ So Abram went, as the Lord had told him…” (Genesis 12:1, 4, NIV).
