Morning Thought: A steward is someone who is given an important responsibility. They are in charge of someone else’s stuff. They don’t own what is under their care, but they value it as their own. Men like Joseph and Daniel were examples of good stewards. Even Mary was an exemplary steward, carrying God’s Son and raising him into a man. Things grow under a good stewards care. Jesus has called you to be a good steward of your time, finances, body, energy and possessions. Ask him for grace today to live up to his high calling. “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20, NIV).
