Morning Thought: The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom—not the fear of man, circumstances, pain or loss. If our Lord Jesus was led by fear he would have never taken up his cross. Like Jesus, when you fear God you put him first. You ask, “Who are you Lord? What is your will? What do you want from me?” The fear of the Lord is completely diffferent from being afraid of God. Instead it means to stand in awe, wonder and reverence at his majesty, mystery and goodness. Today, let the fear of the Lord be your foundation. “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding” (Proverbs 9:10, NIV).
