Kintsugi

Morning Thought: Kintsugi is a Japanese art that takes broken pottery and bonds it with a golden lacquer. Once the work is finished, it’s more beautiful than its original form. The vessel’s scars are now filled with glistening gold. When God restores your life, he makes it more glorious than before. He does not just glue back the pieces, he transforms you into his masterpiece. Wounds are not removed, but instead, filled with priceless treasure. “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, Because the LORD has anointed me To bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to captives And freedom to prisoners” (‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭61:1,‬ ‭NASB‬‬).
