Morning Thought: Sometimes in a race you trip and fall. You may get up and be so disoriented that you run in the wrong direction. Those in the stands shout, “You’re going the wrong way!” But the shock of the fall makes it difficult to hear. If you’re dwelling on your past sins, even offences against you, you’ll start running the wrong way. Forget what’s behind, even yesterday, so that you can move forward today. Fix your eyes on the goal: Jesus. “Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:13-14, NASB).
