It’s Time to Arise

Morning Thought: In light of Billy Graham’s departure into glory, I’m reminded of these words spoken to Joshua: “Moses My servant is dead; now therefore arise, cross this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them, to the sons of Israel” (‭‭Joshua‬ ‭1:2,‬ ‭NASB‬‬). Many of the burning and bright lights of last generation have passed on. However, the everlasting Kingdom continues. It’s now time for us to arise and possess what God has promised. We can’t look to someone else, except Jesus. The torch has been handed to us—it’s time to run. “Every place on which the sole of your foot treads, I have given it to you, just as I spoke to Moses” (Joshua 1:3).
