The Battle is Not Over

Morning Thought: Often we give up before the breakthrough. We settle for less. We allow oppressors to overrun us. The battle is not over. Elisha and his servant were surrounded by the enemy. There was no way out. Wisdom would have said to raise the white flag. Instead, Elisha saw chariots of fire, God’s heavenly unseen army. He beheld where others were blind. He became victor that day because he had vision. May the Lord open your eyes today. “‘Don’t be afraid…Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.’ And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, LORD, so that he may see.” Then the LORD opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha” (‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭6:16-17‬, NIV‬‬).

Born and raised on Long Island, New York, I migrated to Australia in 1999. That’s when I married my beautiful wife, Anna, and we planted our church and Bible School. We’re now the proud parents of four children, ranging in age from eight to twenty-one. We’re still pastoring the same beautiful church, Church on the Park, in the the heart of Brisbane, Australia (https://www.brisbanefire.com). We also continue to teach our awesome students at Holy Fire Ministry Training School (https://www.holyfireschool.com). I love to write and encourage God's people. And something that many people don't know, I'm a DJ as well (aka DJ SOL Vibes).
