Morning Thought: Often we give up before the breakthrough. We settle for less. We allow oppressors to overrun us. The battle is not over. Elisha and his servant were surrounded by the enemy. There was no way out. Wisdom would have said to raise the white flag. Instead, Elisha saw chariots of fire, God’s heavenly unseen army. He beheld where others were blind. He became victor that day because he had vision. May the Lord open your eyes today. “‘Don’t be afraid…Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.’ And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, LORD, so that he may see.” Then the LORD opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha” (2 Kings 6:16-17, NIV).
