Morning Thought: The Word of God calls you to endure. But often we misinterpret what this means. Today, Anna & I celebrate eighteen years of marriage. I did not have to endure our relationship—it's been a great joy. What we did have to endure was the battles that came against us and our family. In the same way, you don't endure God, his Word and his people. Spending time with Jesus, hearing his Word and fellowshipping with his people is your greatest joy. What you do endure and resist is the evil one trying to steal your joy. The Lord brings you greater joy as each day passes; he even makes the bitter sweet. Enjoy God. “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!” (Philippians 4:4, NIV).
