Develop a Strong Core

Morning Thought: Years ago the Council planted numerous young trees along a neighbourhood road. The trees were weak and vulnerable. Vandals soon came, ripping them out and breaking their twig-like trunks. When you’re young in the Lord you’re like these young trees. It’s critical that you let God develop deep roots and a strong core within you. Let him be your gardener. Without him, you’ll be easy prey. But if you have the Lion of Judah pacing around you, scoundrels will easily be scared away. “So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness” (‭‭Colossians‬ ‭2:6-7‬, ‭NIV‬‬).

Born and raised on Long Island, New York, I migrated to Australia in 1999. That’s when I married my beautiful wife, Anna, and we planted our church and Bible School. We’re now the proud parents of four children, ranging in age from eight to twenty-one. We’re still pastoring the same beautiful church, Church on the Park, in the the heart of Brisbane, Australia (https://www.brisbanefire.com). We also continue to teach our awesome students at Holy Fire Ministry Training School (https://www.holyfireschool.com). I love to write and encourage God's people. And something that many people don't know, I'm a DJ as well (aka DJ SOL Vibes).
