Awaken the Dawn

Morning Thought: The Father seeks people who will awaken the dawn. This dawn is different than our everyday dawn. It’s the new dawn of life and revival. It’s the arising of the Holy Spirit’s fire and light in his church. It comes through steadfast worship—worship not based on emotions, but God’s unchangeable glory. In New York, I saw the swift and sudden change of seasons. In one day spring sprung. The temperature soared and by the day’s ending tiny green leaves could be seen on many winter stripped trees. David showed us that through worship we usher in spring’s dawn in a world trapped in the icy rain of winter. “My heart, O God, is steadfast, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and make music. Awake, my soul! Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn” (‭‭Psalm‬ ‭57:7-8‬, NIV‬‬).
