Honour One Another

Morning Thought: Jesus’ actions are an example to us of how we should relate to one another. Jesus came from heaven to earth to spend time with and honour man. He placed the highest value on people, not because they deserved it, but because he loved them. People are like the prodigal son, wasting their lives, yet Jesus still values them and runs to them when they return to him. A spirit of honour must pervade all our relationships—our marriage, children, neighbours, co-workers and fellow believers. Honouring others changes how you talk to people and your actions toward them. Your tone will be softer and your actions kinder. We honour them because Jesus honoured us with his coming and cross. Live a life of honouring others today. “In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus” ‭(‭Philippians‬ ‭2:5‬, NIV‬‬).
