In a Pinch?

NY Morning Thought: Last night my dad took us to the Knicks game. We traveled over an hour to get there and when we arrived, we realised that we forgot our tickets. And to further complicate matters, it was a friend who bought them, so we had no email proof. We weren’t able to reach our friend and we were quite distressed. So we prayed. Soon God gave us wisdom to plead our case. Good luck with that at Madison Square Garden. But God! At first, we were not succeeding. Yet, in the end we got our tickets. Immediately, in front of everyone, my dad gathered us in a huddle to thank Jesus. As believers, you have three powerful keys to unlock negative situations: 1) prayer, 2) peace, and 3) praise. Prayer aks. Peace protects. And praise thanks, exalting the true King, who is in charge of everything. These are your three ‘go-to plays’ when you are in a pinch. With them you will win. “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you” (Matthew‬ ‭7:7‬, ‭NASB‬‬).

Born and raised on Long Island, New York, I migrated to Australia in 1999. That’s when I married my beautiful wife, Anna, and we planted our church and Bible School. We’re now the proud parents of four children, ranging in age from eight to twenty-one. We’re still pastoring the same beautiful church, Church on the Park, in the the heart of Brisbane, Australia (https://www.brisbanefire.com). We also continue to teach our awesome students at Holy Fire Ministry Training School (https://www.holyfireschool.com). I love to write and encourage God's people. And something that many people don't know, I'm a DJ as well (aka DJ SOL Vibes).
