Lose Sight, Lose the Fight

Morning Thought: The Old Testament believers teach you many things and reflect Jesus in a multitude of ways. But, they all fall short. Some lie, cheat, steal and commit adultery. Their purpose was to lead you to Jesus, who alone can save and show you the way. While we value our fathers in the faith, Jesus is our standard. After Hebrews 11 comes Hebrews 12. Lose sight and you’ll lose the fight. “Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us…let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God” (‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭12:1-2,‬ ‭NASB‬‬).

Born and raised on Long Island, New York, I migrated to Australia in 1999. That’s when I married my beautiful wife, Anna, and we planted our church and Bible School. We’re now the proud parents of four children, ranging in age from nine to twenty-two. We’re still pastoring the same beautiful church, Church on the Park, in the the heart of Brisbane, Australia (https://www.brisbanefire.com). We also continue to teach our awesome students at Holy Fire Ministry Training School (https://www.holyfireschool.com). I love to write and encourage God's people. And something that many people don't know, I'm a DJ as well (aka DJ SOL Vibes).
