The Lord’s Special Forces

Morning Thought: Be a finisher, not just a beginner. When my dad was training for the special forces, his parachute malfunctioned, severing his bicep muscle while in air. Yet, he did not let his injury send him home, instead he went on to complete all his jumps and receive his wings. At my mom’s funeral, everyone cheered when I mentioned my dad’s military service. No one celebrates a quitter, but we all value an overcomer. Samson fell hard, but in the end he got back up again. Today, get back up and complete what you’ve started. Jesus said, “Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved” (‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24:12-13‬, ‭NASB‬‬).

Born and raised on Long Island, New York, I migrated to Australia in 1999. That’s when I married my beautiful wife, Anna, and we planted our church and Bible School. We’re now the proud parents of four children, ranging in age from nine to twenty-two. We’re still pastoring the same beautiful church, Church on the Park, in the the heart of Brisbane, Australia (https://www.brisbanefire.com). We also continue to teach our awesome students at Holy Fire Ministry Training School (https://www.holyfireschool.com). I love to write and encourage God's people. And something that many people don't know, I'm a DJ as well (aka DJ SOL Vibes).
