Morning Thought: Your heavenly Father is not impatient with you as you learn to walk with Jesus. When you sin he takes a deep breath. Instead of reacting in anger, he reaches out to rescue you. God is slow to anger. But, his patience has a purpose. It’s not so you can continue to roll around in the mud, but rather to help you live unstained by the filth in this world. “God isn’t late with his promise as some measure lateness. He is restraining himself on account of you, holding back the End because he doesn’t want anyone lost. He’s giving everyone space and time to change” (2 Peter 3:8-9 MSG).
