Morning Thought: We live among the kingdoms of this world, kingdoms that will rise and fall. But we are citizens of a much greater Kingdom, a Kingdom that rises but never falls. It has unlimited resources and power. And yet, the mystery of this Kingdom is that it chooses to grow humbly. It doesn’t overwhelm, but subtly seeps in. It grows through our faithful presence, our acts of kindness and our invisible prayers. It advances through day by day integrity and love. Jesus taught, “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches” (Matthew 13:31-32 NIV).
