Morning Thought: “Then they remembered his words” (Luke 24:8). As preachers of the Gospel—and every believer is called to share the Good News—we often have to repeat ourselves. We may think, “I’ve already said that.” But just because you’ve said it, doesn’t mean people get it. We have to say it again and again—graciously, patiently and with perseverance—until they stop looking for “the living among the dead” (Luke 24:5-6). Then, when the revelation dawns on them, they will spread the Good News to others (Luke 24:9). Patience is the hallmark of effective preaching (2 Tim. 4:2).
