Morning Thought: There’s a big difference between niceness and meekness. Niceness can be self-centred and people pleasing. It’s possible to be nice without God’s grace. On the other hand, meekness is submission and surrender to your Saviour, Jesus. It’s being like clay in the Potter’s hands. Of course, I want my kids to be nice, but more important is that they are meek. From meekness springs genuine love and real kindness. Jesus said, “Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth” (Matt. 5:5 NIV; cf. Ps 37:11, inspired by Anna’s recent message).
