Morning Thought: The Queen was a good, decent and noble woman. She served her country and the commonwealth honourably— a one-of-a-kind light in the darkness of world politics. There was really no one like her, either before or at present. She wasn’t afraid to confess her faith to the world. Last month (3 August 2022) she said, “Throughout my life, the message and teachings of Christ have been my guide and in them I find hope” (Lambeth Conference Address). We mourn her death.
In the same year King Uzziah died, Isaiah saw the Lord (Isaiah 6:1). Similarly, at this time I believe the King of Heaven will reveal himself in visions. His purpose is to remind us who truly reigns over all. The world may shake, but his Kingdom is stable, and will continue to grow on earth like a mustard seed. He still sits on his throne in majesty, holiness and glory. We look to our King of kings in these momentous times.
