How Should Christians Respond to Vaccines?

Morning Thought: Our goal as Christians is not conformity of thought but conformity to Christ. It’s healthy for Christians to have differing views and opinions. And it’s cultish if there is no diversity and debate. However, let’s be careful that the issue of vaccines does not divide us. Regarding the latest vaccines each one should pray and personally find God’s will for themselves. We should not pressure one another to receive or abstain. Neither should we pass judgment on others regarding their stance. Paul gives us clear wisdom about how to handle controversial matters of conscience in Romans 14. He writes, “The one who eats is not to regard with contempt the one who does not eat, and the one who does not eat is not to judge the one who eats, for God has accepted him” (Rom. 14:3, NASB). He goes on to say, “Who are you to judge the servant of another? To his own master he stands or falls; and he will stand for the Lord is able to make him stand” (Rom. 14:4, NASB). So let’s keep a pure, gracious and loving heart toward our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Born and raised on Long Island, New York, I migrated to Australia in 1999. That’s when I married my beautiful wife, Anna, and we planted our church and Bible School. We’re now the proud parents of four children, ranging in age from eight to twenty-one. We’re still pastoring the same beautiful church, Church on the Park, in the the heart of Brisbane, Australia (https://www.brisbanefire.com). We also continue to teach our awesome students at Holy Fire Ministry Training School (https://www.holyfireschool.com). I love to write and encourage God's people. And something that many people don't know, I'm a DJ as well (aka DJ SOL Vibes).
