Words Are Not Mere Words

Morning Thought: Words are not mere words for disciples of Jesus. Why are words so important? Because it’s through words that God created his universe. And it’s through words that our Father makes us into his image and likeness. Sometimes we choose other pathways rather than his words. But it’s only his words that lead us down the path of shalom—God’s completeness and wholeness. Value words, especially his word, which has the power of life, healing and peace. “By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible” (Hebrews 11:3, ESV).
