March Forward (Morning Thought)

Morning Thought: We march forward by living right—not just in the eyes of the public but by what we do in private. After an overwhelming victory over Jericho, Israel tried to move forward by taking Ai. Compared to Jericho, conquering Ai was going to be a piece of cake—it was much smaller. But what God’s people didn’t realise was that there was hidden sin in the camp. Achan had stolen what was devoted to God and buried the tainted treasure in his tent. Israel could not stand against their enemy unless they removed their secret sin. Is there something in you displeasing to God? Something no one knows about? It’s time to dig it out and discard it. “Get up…Hidden among you, O Israel, are things set apart for the Lord.
