Life’s Author

New Year’s 2020 Thought: I’ll be keeping my eyes on Life’s Author. He is the beginning of the story of the human race. He’s also the conclusion of our journey. And I’m thankful that he guides us through every point in between. In this adventure, winds and waves endeavour to distract us, getting our eyes off of him. But when you walk straight and arrow-like toward Jesus, an angelic smile will adorn your face. No one can rob you of your blessing because you are on his path. “Angelic smiles adorn the adamant on the journey, who walk straight toward Life’s Author” (Psalm 119:1, my poetic translation). [Below is a photo of my translation of the first part of Psalm 119, Aleph. It’s purpose is to translate the Hebrew acrostic structure into English and to convey its poetic nature.]

Born and raised on Long Island, New York, I migrated to Australia in 1999. That’s when I married my beautiful wife, Anna, and we planted our church and Bible School. We’re now the proud parents of four children, ranging in age from eight to twenty-one. We’re still pastoring the same beautiful church, Church on the Park, in the the heart of Brisbane, Australia (https://www.brisbanefire.com). We also continue to teach our awesome students at Holy Fire Ministry Training School (https://www.holyfireschool.com). I love to write and encourage God's people. And something that many people don't know, I'm a DJ as well (aka DJ SOL Vibes).
