Morning Thought: While away we stayed at a place called the Honeycomb House. In the backyard there was a beautiful view of a mountain range with seven peaks. Suddenly, the kids were jumping up and down. They were shouting, “Come look at this!” In our backyard was a beautiful and fully arched rainbow. It was so close it felt like we could touch it. I’ve never experienced a rainbow this close and it appeared a few times while staying there. I asked God, “Is there a message in this?” He said, “I want my people to know I am a covenant keeping God.” God is faithful and will keep his Word to you. Knowing his covenant nature will calm your fears and worries. Listen to Deuteronomy 7:9: “Know therefore that the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God, who keeps His covenant and His lovingkindness to a thousandth generation with those who love Him and keep His commandments” (NASB). And even when you are faithless, he is still faithful (2 Tim. 2:13).
