His Feeling of Love Do Not Fade

Morning Thought: I woke up this morning with a sense of heaviness. My emotions were weighed down. Then my mind was drawn to the book of Lamentations. Out of the most tragic of Biblical writings comes one of the most uplifting thoughts. Listen: “Yahweh’s kind love does not run dry, for his feelings of love do not fade. They are fresh every morning, great is your faithfulness” (Lam. 3:22:24, my translation). God’s like a reliable baker. He arises before dawn preparing hot and wholesome bread for you. When you arise, it’s ready. So come morning by morning to his table and eat. Or at least, like a New Yorker, grab a roll on the run.
