Morning Thought: Remember that God pauses. God’s Word is like a meal and it’s meant to be eaten. When God speaks to you he pauses so that you can digest his Word. If he’s silent, it could be that he is pausing, waiting for you to properly take in all he has said. Your Father, the Master Chef, is not going to throw one plate after another at you. He’s the expert in timing and rhythm. So learn to chew, eat slowly and digest what he serves you. And lastly, remember to enjoy. Jeremiah said, “When your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart’s delight, for I bear your name, Lord God Almighty” (Jer. 15:16, NIV).
