God’s Beauty

Morning Thought: Our God is beautiful, pleasant and delightful. Moses knew this and Psalm 90 records him praying for God’s delightful beauty to be upon his people. The Hebrew word Moses chooses is ‘noam’ and it’s from this word we get the name ‘Naomi’. When thinking of God’s ‘noam’ our minds are filled with the Lord’s kindness, beauty, favor and pleasantness. And it’s God’s kindness that establishes the work of our hands. Today, I pray you know his kind and pleasant beauty. “Let the delightful beauty of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands for us. Yes, establish the work of our hands” (Psalm 90:17, personal translation).

Born and raised on Long Island, New York, I migrated to Australia in 1999. That’s when I married my beautiful wife, Anna, and we planted our church and Bible School. We’re now the proud parents of four children, ranging in age from nine to twenty-two. We’re still pastoring the same beautiful church, Church on the Park, in the the heart of Brisbane, Australia (https://www.brisbanefire.com). We also continue to teach our awesome students at Holy Fire Ministry Training School (https://www.holyfireschool.com). I love to write and encourage God's people. And something that many people don't know, I'm a DJ as well (aka DJ SOL Vibes).
