Morning Thought: When I was a young man going to Bible School it was every man for himself at the table. We prayed, then we all quickly grabbed what we wanted, filling our cups and plates. Then, we met a man from Israel. After saying grace, he would serve everyone else, then he would sit to eat. This was one of the greatest expressions of the Kingdom I had ever seen. It wasn’t about ‘falling out in the Spirit,’ instead it was about putting others first. When you put someone first, you honour them. We may say we put God first, but it’s in our everyday actions that our faith is expressed. Today, give God your first and best. “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you” (Matthew 6:33, NASB).
