Fish Sauce

Morning Thought: Have you had Vietnamese cooking? It’s one of my favourites. The Vietnamese often use fish sauce in their dishes. Fish sauce stinks. No wonder, it’s usually made with fermented anchovies. Fish sauce on its own is quite repulsive. Yet, if it’s mixed with other ingredients, it heightens the meal’s flavour. It really makes the food taste good. Difficult times in life are like fish sauce. On their own they smell bad, but together with God they improve the character and strength of your life. “For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all” ‭‭(2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:17,‬ ‭NIV‬‬).

Born and raised on Long Island, New York, I migrated to Australia in 1999. That’s when I married my beautiful wife, Anna, and we planted our church and Bible School. We’re now the proud parents of four children, ranging in age from nine to twenty-two. We’re still pastoring the same beautiful church, Church on the Park, in the the heart of Brisbane, Australia (https://www.brisbanefire.com). We also continue to teach our awesome students at Holy Fire Ministry Training School (https://www.holyfireschool.com). I love to write and encourage God's people. And something that many people don't know, I'm a DJ as well (aka DJ SOL Vibes).
