The World’s Web

Morning Thought: Don’t get stuck in the world’s web. Like a spider’s trap, the world spins its thread. It’s mostly invisible, but the right light exposes its danger. Get caught and you can’t move. Soon, the enemy’s venom paralyses you. But there’s a better path, a way of escape. Let God’s light guide the way. Listen to Psalm 1:2-3 describing the righteous: “They arise, energised by delight in Yahweh’s instruction. They can’t get his words out of their head, or off their lips—singing it in the morning, studying it in the evening. They are like trees planted by flowing streams, giving gifts of fruit at just the right time, even their leaves don’t shrivel—and in all they do, they breakthrough” (Psalm 1:2-3, my translation).

Born and raised on Long Island, New York, I migrated to Australia in 1999. That’s when I married my beautiful wife, Anna, and we planted our church and Bible School. We’re now the proud parents of four children, ranging in age from nine to twenty-two. We’re still pastoring the same beautiful church, Church on the Park, in the the heart of Brisbane, Australia (https://www.brisbanefire.com). We also continue to teach our awesome students at Holy Fire Ministry Training School (https://www.holyfireschool.com). I love to write and encourage God's people. And something that many people don't know, I'm a DJ as well (aka DJ SOL Vibes).
