The Natural or the Supernatural

Morning Thought: There was one thing that stood out to me when I was reflecting on Ingrid’s message this morning. God still has a plan for you no matter the intensity of the pain you’re going through. Both Orpah and Ruth lost everything. However, Ruth chose the supernatural path, while Orpah chose the natural path. We never again hear about Orpah, but we definitely hear more about Ruth. Why? Ruth clung to the Lord. In your pain there are two paths you can choose: 1) God’s way, or 2) your way. It’s God’s way—clinging to his call—that will make all the difference. “At this they wept aloud again. Then Orpah kissed her mother-in-law goodbye, but Ruth clung to her” ‭(Ruth‬ ‭1:14‬, ‭NIV‬‬).

Born and raised on Long Island, New York, I migrated to Australia in 1999. That’s when I married my beautiful wife, Anna, and we planted our church and Bible School. We’re now the proud parents of four children, ranging in age from eight to twenty-one. We’re still pastoring the same beautiful church, Church on the Park, in the the heart of Brisbane, Australia (https://www.brisbanefire.com). We also continue to teach our awesome students at Holy Fire Ministry Training School (https://www.holyfireschool.com). I love to write and encourage God's people. And something that many people don't know, I'm a DJ as well (aka DJ SOL Vibes).
