Morning Thought: Passover is a new beginning. Later this week Passover begins and I hear God saying he will restore and refresh his people. He desires for us to recover the joy of our salvation. Remember your deliverance. Remember Jesus’ bread and cup. I hear him saying, “I will do new things in my people during this season. You will see my triumphant victory over the forces of darkness and stubborn hearts. What I will do will be known for generations. And I will make my people glad.” In the chapter on Passover Moses says, “This month shall be the beginning of months for you; it is to be the first month of the year to you” (Exodus 12:2, NASB). David also prays, “Make glad the soul of Your servant, For to You, O Lord, I lift up my soul” (Psalms 86:4, NASB).
