Morning Thought: Don’t be led by signs, confirmations, circumstances or feelings. Instead, be led by God’s Spirit and Word. Isaac was tempted to be led by his circumstances and feelings. There was a famine in the land and he wanted to escape to Egypt (Genesis 26). But God said, “Stay in the place I show you.” In faith, Isaac obeyed, and in just one year reaped hundredfold. You see, God knows the end from the beginning, and it’s only through knowing him personally that you will be properly led. “Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge [better said, KNOW] Him, And He will make your paths straight” (Proverbs 3:5-6, NASB).
