Morning Thought: You need strength for the difficult times, but also strength for the good times. Think about David. Once God’s Word was fulfilled in his life and his kingdom was secure, he became complacent. That’s when he comitted adultery and murder. Good times can be deceptive because you think you have arrived. But really the journey continues. We can’t settle for this age; we live for the One who is to come. Whatever time you are in, seek his strength so that your life will honour him. “In any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:12b-13, NASB).
