His Name’s Sake

Morning Thought: “For your name’s sake you will lead me and guide me” (Ps 31:3). The responsibility for your life is the Lord’s. He leads—not based on your works, but because you are his. It’s for his name’s sake that he guides you. Too many times we think our future is up to us. No! It’s up to him. This is no excuse for laziness. Yet, all he asks is your simple trust, the committing of your spirit to him. Out of this trust, carry out his Word. It’s not as complicated as we make it.
