Morning Thought: In the past, God wrote his Word on stone and paper. The Israelites knew it, but were powerless to keep it. Now the Lord writes his Word on our hearts. Instead of the Word being outside you, it is inside your soul. As you let Jesus write his story within, you become a living letter, a message from God. No longer does the Word condemn you, instead it’s your life, your story. You become like Abraham who walked by faith, Isaac who sowed through hope and Jacob who encountered God’s unconditional love and presence. “You are our letter, written in our hearts, known and read by all men; being manifested that you are a letter of Christ, cared for by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts” (2 Corinthians 3:2-3, NASB).
