Slay the Dragon

Morning Thought: Conflict is part of following Christ. Jesus’ archenemy will be your enemy. Like a fire-breathing dragon he will hurl fiery temptations toward you. He desires to consume you with lust and pride. Humility is the sword that slays this dragon. Humility submits to God and seeks shelter in God’s stronghold. In the Saviour’s stronghold you will stand firm and not be defeated. “But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, ‘GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE.’ Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you” (‭‭James‬ ‭4:6-7,‬ ‭NASB‬).
