The Safety of Humility

Morning Thought: Humility keeps you safe. Remember Uzziah. He was one of Judah’s great kings. But, he died a leper because he rose up in pride and crossed the boundaries of his ministry. Know the field God has called you to and don’t meddle in someone else’s ministry. Stay within your God-given boundaries. The Lord will expand you in his time. Humility waits. “But when he [Uzziah] became strong, his heart was so proud that he acted corruptly, and he was unfaithful to the LORD his God, for he entered the temple of the LORD to burn incense on the altar of incense” (‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭26:16‬, NASB‬‬).
