Morning Thought: Faith means waiting, waiting in trust that your Father will fulfill his Word. In an age of instant messages this goes against our grain. I think it’s always been hard to wait. Adam & Eve couldn’t wait and they ate from the forbidden tree. Jesus, however, waited to be exalted. He waited even though it meant carrying his cross. Abraham, the father of faith, had to learn to wait, and consequently he inherited God’s promises. “And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence so as to realize the full assurance of hope until the end, so that you will not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises” (Hebrews 6:11-12, NASB).
