Morning Thought: Soak in God’s presence like an olive tree drinks in the nutrients of good soil. This is one of the ways you wait on God. Let your roots be planted in the soil of the Lord’s lovingkindness. As you trust him, your roots draw in the nutrients of his goodness, causing you to flourish. Real life comes from God’s presence, making your soul healthy and fruitful. “But as for me, I am like a green olive tree in the house of God; I trust in the lovingkindness of God forever and ever. I will give You thanks forever, because You have done it, And I will wait on Your name, for it is good, in the presence of Your godly ones” (Psalms 52:8-9, NASB).
