Saying Prayers vs. Real Prayer

Morning Thought: How do you go from saying prayers to real prayer? Let the Holy Spirit teach you and pray through you. Don’t just see things with your physical eyes; see as the Father sees. Your Heavenly Father does not look at appearances, but rather he sees the heart. Paul was a great model of real prayer. He prayed with thanksgiving and joy because he prayed in light of Jesus’ Gospel, his good news. “I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always offering prayer with joy in my every prayer for you all, in view of your participation in the gospel from the first day until now” ‭‭(Philippians‬ ‭1:3-5,‬ ‭NASB‬‬).

Born and raised on Long Island, New York, I migrated to Australia in 1999. That’s when I married my beautiful wife, Anna, and we planted our church and Bible School. We’re now the proud parents of four children, ranging in age from eight to twenty-one. We’re still pastoring the same beautiful church, Church on the Park, in the the heart of Brisbane, Australia (https://www.brisbanefire.com). We also continue to teach our awesome students at Holy Fire Ministry Training School (https://www.holyfireschool.com). I love to write and encourage God's people. And something that many people don't know, I'm a DJ as well (aka DJ SOL Vibes).
