Morning Thought: Did you know the same Hebrew word (ksl) that spells ‘foolish’ also spells ‘confidence’? In Scripture there’s two kinds of confidence. There’s the false confidence of a con-man. He walks proudly, but doesn’t realise he’s about to fall into a ditch. Then, there’s the confidence of someone who trusts God and walks in the Lord’s ways. Be the one who puts your confidence in the all-knowing and all-powerful God, rather than the fool who puts confidence in himself. “Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him” (Proverbs 26:12, NASB).
