Why Can’t I Hear God?

Morning Thought: Hearing your Heavenly Father and doing what he says will give you joy beyond words. But you may wonder, “Why can’t I hear God?” Have you ever tried to talk to somone with headphones on? It’s almost impossible. They can’t hear you and their music at the same time. To hear God you need to take your ‘headphones’ off. Don’t let yourself be distracted, but quiet your heart before God and open his Book. Help me, Lord, to value your voice above every other song and word. “While Jesus was saying these things, one of the women in the crowd raised her voice and said to Him, ‘Blessed is the womb that bore You and the breasts at which You nursed.’ But He said, ‘On the contrary, blessed are those who hear the word of God and observe it.’”‭‭(Luke‬ ‭11:27-28‬, NASB‬‬).
