Rising Above Weariness

Morning Thought: Our eternal God loves to give strength to the weary and worn out. Do you know the background behind, “those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength”? Israel had been devastated and Jerusalem destroyed by the Babylonians. In the rubble and ruin the Lord says, “wait in confident expectation on me.” Today, stop your busy schedule and wait in hope and expectation on the Lord. There’s no better way to do this than to get alone and read the Psalms. Listen to Isaiah’s promise to you: “Yet those who wait [hope] for the LORD Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary” ‭‭(Isaiah‬ ‭40:31‬, ‭NASB‬‬).

Born and raised on Long Island, New York, I migrated to Australia in 1999. That’s when I married my beautiful wife, Anna, and we planted our church and Bible School. We’re now the proud parents of four children, ranging in age from nine to twenty-two. We’re still pastoring the same beautiful church, Church on the Park, in the the heart of Brisbane, Australia (https://www.brisbanefire.com). We also continue to teach our awesome students at Holy Fire Ministry Training School (https://www.holyfireschool.com). I love to write and encourage God's people. And something that many people don't know, I'm a DJ as well (aka DJ SOL Vibes).
